Gene Wright
I'm a cloud security architect who has spent my career at the intersection of security and enterprise technology. I work on the problems that actually show up in production: secure cloud architecture, AI governance, identity and access, and the gap between what compliance frameworks require and what engineering teams can actually ship.
This blog is where I think out loud — field notes from someone working through the same problems you are. No polished thought leadership, no sponsor obligations. Just honest observations.
Work With Me
My day job is helping enterprise customers design and build secure cloud architectures. I work across the full stack of security concerns — identity and access, network architecture, compliance posture, threat modeling, and the governance questions that come up when organizations move fast in regulated environments.
Outside of my day job I take on a limited number of independent consulting engagements. If you're a growing company trying to get your cloud security posture right, a team that needs an outside eye on an architecture before it goes to production, or an organization navigating a compliance framework for the first time — that's the kind of work I'm interested in.
What I can help with
- —Secure cloud architecture design and review
- —Security posture assessments
- —Compliance readiness (SOC 2, FedRAMP)
- —AI/ML workload security
- —Security governance for fast-moving engineering teams
